Much like the #1 seed in March Madness has only won the full tournament 3 times, we must understand that not all exciting innovations will have impact. A couple of things stick out from these i3 findings:📈The majority of these innovations had neutral or positive impacts on students. In a field where it’s much more likely to statistically show what’s *not* working, these effects encourage more innovation. ⚖️There is a tendency to prematurely scale new ideas. Testing, iteration, and creating the enabling conditions to scale is key to more success more often. Just like the Cinderella👑 teams in the tournament, innovative new solutions can be transformative for students and families. Continuing to improve how we innovate will create more breakthrough success stories for kids. #MarchMadness #Innovation #i3 #USDOE The Hechinger Report

PROOF POINTS: Only a quarter of federally funded education innovations benefited students, report says http://hechingerreport.org

We’ve got to keep our eye on the ball🏀. The status quo isn’t serving most students and families well. Add in a rapidly changing society, and it’s imperative that innovation becomes a regular practice in schools and school systems. There are ways to innovate better, though, and we need to learn from what’s worked and not worked, invest in education R&D, and make space for piloting and improving innovations before wider adoption.

📣 Final Call for Entries: Deadline This Saturday, 25th November! 📣🏆 With just a few days left, we want to remind everyone about our unique competition for students aged 10-17. Think beyond what's in front of youAs adults, we often forget the power of imagination that we possessed as children.👇 This exercise (which I remember doing as a child) serves as a powerful analogy for fostering creativity in business. Just like that child turning a simple scribble into something remarkable, we too can unlock new possibilities by thinking beyond what is directly in front of us.It's easy to get caught up in the routines and patterns that keep us stuck in the same place. But if we want to break free from the deadlock and achieve extraordinary results, we must embrace a mindset that explores diverse perspectives and challenges conventional thinking.By daring to think beyond the obvious, we open ourselves up to innovative solutions, untapped opportunities, and groundbreaking breakthroughs. It's about pushing the boundaries, connecting seemingly unrelated dots, and finding inspiration from unexpected sources. So let's reclaim our childlike curiosity, embrace the unknown, and dare to see the bigger picture.💡 Right, who wants to share a scribble with me? Let’s start a new LinkedIn challenge!#creativity #innovation #futurestatedesign #thinkbig #beyondlimits

🚀 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀🚀I recently came across an inspiring post on LinkedIn that beautifully illustrates the power of creativity. In this heartwarming video, a child transforms a seemingly meaningless handwritten painting into a masterpiece of a vibrant group of people, all through the magic of imagination. This post highlights the essence of nurturing and empowering creativity from an early age. But the lessons from this child's journey aren't just confined to the realm of art and childhood development – they resonate deeply with the business world too.Creativity and innovation are the lifeblood of any successful business. They enable us to #reimagine, #adapt, and #innovate in a rapidly changing landscape. Here's why they matter:1️⃣ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴: Creative thinking allows us to find novel solutions to complex challenges, leading to increased efficiency and competitiveness.2️⃣ 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆:Creative ideas help us understand and meet the evolving needs of our customers, enhancing brand loyalty.3️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:Embracing innovation fosters a culture of continuous improvement, a cornerstone of sustainable success.4️⃣ 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽:Innovative companies are often leaders in their industries, setting trends and outshining competitors.Let's take a page out of the child's playbook. Let's encourage creativity in our teams, from the boardroom to the front lines. Let's cultivate an environment where innovative thinking is celebrated. By doing so, we'll not only create a more exciting workplace but also pave the way for business success in an ever-changing world.Feel free to share your thoughts on the power of creativity and innovation in the business world.
