A true testament to the positive impact that collaborative efforts can have on mental health awareness and education for young people. ✨As part of the Major League Baseball (MLB)'s ongoing commitment to mental health through the MLB Together Initiative, the organization partners with EVERFI from Blackbaud to provide valuable education and resources through the digital course, Understanding Mental Wellness. Last month, students in NEW YORK CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS participated in an Understanding Mental Wellness event with the MLB and the New York Mets where there was an open forum for questions and discussions surrounding mental health.

Out of the three pillars of well-being - physical, mental, and financial - financial health has the greatest impact on overall wellness. 💰In a recent study conducted by Guardian Life, Gen Z indicated that the top things causing the most stress are wallet related.For this reason, acknowledging this connection and addressing it through education is the first step towards breaking cycles and building financial resilience. 💪

"Financial education should be treated like a language." 💰 According to research from the NY Federal Reserve, Gen Z workers are earning healthy salaries, getting into the housing market earlier, and saving for retirement years sooner than older generations. That speaks well to the potential for younger generations to meet their financial goals.But there's still room for improvement. We're on a mission to support the next generation in their journey towards holistic well-being. The 2024 NFL Draft Character Playbook Speakers Series event was held at Bates Academy in Detroit, Michigan. During this special visit that was almost broadcast to students across the country, members of the Detroit Lions and National Football League (NFL) led an enlightening discussion on the importance of mental wellness then students broke into smaller group to discuss how these strategies can be integrated in their lives. Their insights and experiences provided invaluable knowledge on how to prioritize mental health - both on and off the field.

From movement to journaling, students experienced the transformative power of five unique therapies at a recent Mental Health Awareness Month event. 🧠 Since 2020, HCA Healthcare has teamed up with EVERFI from Blackbaud to provide mental health education for high school students through the digital course, Understanding Mental Wellness. This event at Unity Reed High School, provided students the opportunity to use their learnings from the course to engage in meaningful conversations and explore new mental health strategies. ✨

While many adults are stressed about finances, college students are dealing with an added layer of stress as they graduate and prepare to enter the workforce. 🎓 The ripple effect of student financial stress extends beyond individual well-being, influencing the broader economy through things like decreased consumer spending and delayed home ownership. 🏠 Gen Z is our future workforce.
