Lets fix OP tideborns (2024)

To no one is a secret that Sins and Pys are completly OP against any other class, so lets make some sugerences to make the game a lil balanced, heres mines:

QQ only sins can stealth:
solution: stealth pots? :O

QQ sins come out stealth and 1 shot me
solution: awareness level gems? o.O

QQ even w/o stealth 5aps sins are undefeatable
solution: max aps = 3?

QQ not fair sins can use bows
solution: archers able to use daggers or sins unable to use bows

QQ not fair the absurd amount of damage u take for attack a pys, a pure mage has not a chance
solution: pys skills to damage what damage them work only for physical attacks

And thats all i can think for now, feel free to say wathever u want about it

and btw, dont u think mystic's plants are very useless?, in a pvp battle the opponent simply moves and thats all >.>

    1: Doesn't work if the sin is a level above you. Also doesn't work if the sin is at the same level as you but has level 11 shadow escape.

    2: If you were to shard for awareness level instead of some form of defense, then sins aren't the only ones who'd be able to 1-shot you easily... and since sins will have a longer range than you, they can still jump you with relative ease.

    3: And then only assassins can permaspark. That weakens every "aps" but them.

    4: The second option is fine. The first wouldn't end well unless we start to class lock all weapons like what's been going on with the newer classes... and that would cause more issues as well.

    5: ... wut? Other casters actually have the best chance of beating a psy in 1v1 once a psy gets to that point in their refines.

    Psychic would be fine if they were to give all psychics about 20k soulforce.

    Full +12 psychic is almost 60k soulforce and you see ridiculous things like 15 second stuns and 5 second seals every other hit. 60k is way too much.

    anything can use bows, (cept seeker) s archers can't argue only sins i that's the case

    Skill Balance in this game? Sorry to say but there is hardly any (no offense intended).

    Long Read:

    First of all I have a sin which I love a lot however I agree that these 2 classes are overpowered, Invisibility isn't very well balanced especially in tw or PK.

    With the right mp regen equip and cleric buffs, a sin can remain invisible as long as he wants as he doesn't even need to use pots (what I mean here is that he/she can go around the game invisible in pk mode killing players). Some form of semi-expensive potion (that is accessible to every player should be implemented), and yes I know it already exists but I think should be more flexible to obtain. I said semi-expensive because if it was too cheap everyone would go running around with piles of them and invisibility would become a weak skill rather than balanced.

    As for the weapons, I think they let sins equip bows because their only ranged skill is throw knife, in a dungeon (such as fc) would be frustrating to kill a harpy with just throw knife "spamming". I would keep daggers to sins only BUT I would modify Bloodpaint to work with bows too (a barb can, a seeker can, a bm can) so why not an archer too?

    I highly doubt that a fist/claw Archer is more dangerous than a bm using same weapons, so yeah I don't see a good reason why BP shouldn't work with bows and archers.

    I don't know much about psy's but their damage is elemental (mostly water and earth), A good mix of magic def and tactic can bring them down, they're strong but not invincible.

    Plants aren't useless, they're more pve oriented though, as you already said in pvp opponent just moves away, also keep in mind mystic is more of a support class. Try to see it this way: Cleric vs 5 aps bm.

    My ideas may not be the best, I know that balancing a game with 10 classes each with their own skills isn't easy, however as I stated in the beginning there isn't much skill balance so don't get your hopes high that something will be done about it.

    Remove shadow escape, reduce chi gain from Rising dragon strike, reduce max aps to 3.5. End of file.

    Hey to all those saying to reduce the aps cap-you are misinformed. The highest damage per second comes not from a 5.0 sin but from the lower aps sin->the 2.86-4.0 one.
    All the squads demanding 5.0 are plain stupid btw...
    Infact if lowered to max of 3.0 those squads calling for 5.0s will probably just want sins, only more so now than ever. In pvp 5.0 means nearly nothing at all.
    Sure psy has too much soulforce when all thier gear is +12, well If you +12 all your gear maybe your entitled to it. +12 has gotten alot cheaper but that is still some seriously devoted farming to acheive..i.e dang near imposible. If you cash shoped all +12 I feel sorry for you more than anything, cant think of any justification to spend that much real money, hell give it to a charity if your that rich..help someone

    my bad, dint notice there is actually a shard named like that, i mean a shard that increases awareness lvl to see stealthed sins lol

    1. Only Sins can Stealth
    What you thought about Assassins are the Masters of Hide(insidious Murders)
    If other classes can hide then i want an Barrier of Arrows or Vortex skill too b:pleased

    2. Awareness Shards?
    Well sure that's a bit unfair i agree with that part. Could decrease the Stealth Level like when you are level 102 that players at same level and up can see you.

    3. Decrease 3 Aps?
    Well even a 3 Aps with +11/12 Wepon could one hit you.
    And what about the Other Classes?
    If we are going to put it to 3 Aps i want it also for Archer/Bm & Barbs.

    4. A Blademaster and Barb also can Use Bows only thing makes it unfair is that Sins has the Same Build then Archer. Archers can wear Fists/Claws instead of Daggers at the cost of loosing some points in Dex.

    5. Magic Classes can one Hit Assassins too.

    Thats all what i can say about this now.

    Oh while you're fixing this also fix rubberbanding, buff glitches like clerics mdef buff, remove packs from botique or big notes reward for BoLs........ wishful thinking is just wishful thinking, if you want to rant you should go to pwc forums not these Lets fix OP tideborns (16)
